Lojas Americanas, Brazil's largest discount retailer, on Monday denied newspaper reports saying that it could buy out the shares it does not already own in online retailer B2W. The company said in a securities filing that currently there were no plans to absorb B2W (BTOW3.SA). According to Valor Economico newspaper, Lojas Americanas (LAME3.SA)(LAME4.SA), which currently owns around 55 percent of B2W, could fold the online retailer into its balance sheet this quarter without making a public offer.
