Canada's Provident Energy Ltd said it will team up with AltaGas Ltd and a senior producer to lay a gas pipeline from a Montney gas plant to British Columbia. The company, which manages natural gas liquids midstream business and has combined its upstream business with Midnight Oil Exploration Ltd, did not name the senior producer. The 25-km pipeline, which will cost C$30 million, will serve as a trunk line for up to 250 million cubic feet per day (mmcfd) of natural gas from the liquids-rich Montney area.
