CORRECTED - Citi hires Trip Wolfe as venture capital banker-memo, (NYSE: C)

Citigroup Inc (C.N) has hired Trip Wolfe to head venture capital coverage for North America within the bank's technology, media and telecoms group, according to an internal memo obtained by Reuters on Thursday. Wolfe joins Citi from Union Square Advisors where he ran the firm's venture capital and private equity sponsor coverage. Prior to joining Union Square Advisors, he worked at Bank of America, Jefferies & Company and Deutsche Bank. Wolfe will take a newly created role within Citigroup to help boost client relationships in the venture capital and related private equity communities, according to the memo. Citigroup spokesman was not immediately available for comment.
