CORRECTED-NCR to purchase mobile banking technology firm for $1.65 bln, (NASDAQ: INTU), (NYSE: NCR)

ATM maker NCR Corp said it would purchase Digital Insight Corp, a provider of online and mobile banking technology, from private equity firm Thoma Bravo LLC for $1.65 billion to boost its financial services business.Digital Insight was bought by Thoma Bravo from Intuit Inc in August for about $1 billion. (link.reuters.com/pef25v)NCR's acquisition of Digital Insight is expected to close in the first quarter of 2014.NCR also said it completed the acquisition of Alaric Systems Ltd, a provider of secure transaction switching and fraud prevention software, for about $84 million.

Intuit Inc. (Intuit) is a provider of business and financial management solutions for small businesses, consumers, accounting professionals and financial institutions. Shares of INTU remained unchanged at $74.23. In the past year, the shares have traded as low as $55.54 and as high as $74.33. On average, 2104280 shares of INTU exchange hands on a given day and today's volume is recorded at 2028176.

NCR Corporation (NCR) is a technology company, which provides products and services, which enable businesses to connect, interact and transact with their customers and enhance their customer relationships by addressing consumer demand for convenience, value and individual service. Shares of NCR fell by 2.17% or $-0.76/share to $34.19. In the past year, the shares have traded as low as $23.78 and as high as $41.63.
