EU mergers and takeovers (May 19), (NYSE: VC)

The following are mergers under review by the European Commission and a brief guide to the EU merger process: APPROVALS AND WITHDRAWALS-- Affiliates of private equity firms KKR and H.I.G. Capital to acquire Estro Groep B.V., a Dutch provider of child day care services (approved May 19)-- U.S. auto parts maker Visteon Corp to acquire U.S. car parts maker Johnson Controls' car electronics business (approved May 16)

Visteon Corporation (Visteon) is a global supplier of climate, electronics and interiors systems, modules and components to automotive original equipment manufacturers (OEM), including BMW, Chrysler, Daimler, Ford, General Motors, Honda, Hyundai, Kia, Nissan, PSA Peugeot Citroen, Renault, Toyota and Volkswagen. Shares of VC fell by 0.36% or $-0.33/share to $90.51. In the past year, the shares have traded as low as $58.02 and as high as $93.51. On average, 625330 shares of VC exchange hands on a given day and today's volume is recorded at 642401.
