Janus Capital Group says launching EM managed volatility fund, (NYSE: JNS)

Janus Capital Group said on Wednesday that the firm was launching the INTECH Emerging Markets Managed Volatility Fund, which will seek to target above-market returns with lower risk than the benchmark. Janus said INTECH, a global investment manager with more than $49.4 billion in assets under management, will manage the fund, which is engineered with the intent of providing a smoother investment experience in a historically volatile asset class potentially leading to long-term capital appreciation.

Janus Capital Group Inc., and its subsidiaries (JCG) provide investment management, administration, distribution and related services to financial advisors, individuals and institutional clients through mutual funds, other pooled investment vehicles, separate accounts and sub advised relationships (collectively referred to as investment products) in both domestic and international markets. Shares of JNS traded higher by 0.8% or $0.12/share to $15.06. In the past year, the shares have traded as low as $10.13 and as high as $16.04. On average, 7836490 shares of JNS exchange hands on a given day and today's volume is recorded at 32998.
