The following bids, mergers, acquisitions and disposals were reported by 1330 GMT on Friday:** Australia's TPG Telecom Ltd said it will purchase domestic Internet services provider iiNet Ltd for A$1.4 billion ($1.1 billion), in a deal that could provoke a counter offer from larger rival Optus.** Whiting Petroleum Corp, North Dakota's largest oil producer, has put Texas acreage and pipeline assets up for sale as an alternative to a sale of the full company, according to sources familiar with the matter.

Whiting Petroleum Corporation is an independent oil and gas company. Shares of WLL fell by 7.4% or $-2.84/share to $35.52. In the past year, the shares have traded as low as $24.13 and as high as $92.92. On average, 8774580 shares of WLL exchange hands on a given day and today's volume is recorded at 808106.
