Shares of Broadcom Corporation were up sharply after hours Tuesday night as they reported better than expected forecasts for Q4 earnings. Additionally, the company announced that it has signed a definitve agreement with privately-held company Parcello. Parcello makes tiny chip solutions for femtocells (extremely small cells 1000 times smaller than nanocells). Such an acquisition will enable Broadcom to lower costs of materials and provide better quality of service to mobile cell phone users.
