Shares of Quicksilver Resources Inc shot up over 17% Monday morning as the company announced it was pursuing strategic alternatives for the company which involves possibly taking the company private. Quicksilver Energy LP said in a letter October 15, 2010 that it was interested in buying out Quicksilver Resources.
Quicksilver resources is an independant energy company involved in exploration, development and production of unconcentional natural gas onshore in North America.
