Rogers Communications buys Atria Networks for $425 Million

Rogers Communications sees a steep increase in demand for data and telecommunications services in the future so it is taking action with a major acquisition. Rogers will buy Atria Networks, a fiber optics networking company, for $425 million. Analysts believe the deal is priced correctly and will add tremendous value for Rogers going forward. In fact, this deal will give Rogers a leg up over its competition, namely Telus and Bell.

Rogers Communications is a Canadian communications company. It is a triple play service provider providing voice, data, as well as television.
