Whispers that Oracle will buy Salesforce.com $160/share

Rumors are flooding message boards across the web and on television news channels that Oracle Corp. may be lining up to buy Salesforce.com. The whisper number on the buyout offer is $160/share. Andy Kibbens (Co-CEO of The Markets Are Open) commented "Salesforce.com would be a strategic buy for Oracle. Their cloud computing applications would compliment Oracle's enterprise database software."

Shares of Salesforce.com are up 51% year to date and 384% over the past 5 years while Oracle's stock is up 33.9% and 119% for the same periods respectively. "Both stocks have had great runs to date and I wouldn't be surprised to see some M&A activity between the two" said Kibbens.
