Apollo profit rises, portfolio value up, (NYSE: KKR), (NYSE: BX)

Apollo Global Management's [APOLO.UL] profit for three months that ended in September rose as the value of investments in the firm's $14.7 billion Fund VII increased. Apollo has been following rivals Kohlberg Kravis Roberts & Co (KKR.N) and Blackstone Group (BX.N) with plans to list on the New York Stock Exchange and periodically updates its financial information with the Securities and Exchange Commission. Economic net income, the measure that private equity firms prefer to report and that analysts follow, for the three months ending in September rose to $315.3 million, up from $173.3 million for the same period a year earlier, it said.
