Amsterdam-based private equity investor AlpInvest Partners, which has been in talks to be bought by private equity giant Carlyle Group [CYL.UL], is to give an update on its strategy on Wednesday. AlpInvest is holding a press briefing at 9:30 a.m. Central European Time (0830 GMT) in Amsterdam, according to an invitation sent to reporters. The invitation said the firm is to give "an update on the strategic review" although it gave no details about whether a deal to sell itself has been reached with Carlyle -- or another party.
