Eisman weighs leaving FrontPoint Partners - WSJ, (NYSE: MS)

Hedge fund manager Steve Eisman is considering leaving FrontPoint Partners and has recently talked with potential investors about managing money for them if he left the investment firm, the Wall Street Journal reported. Eisman is the biggest star of FrontPoint Partners, who made millions by anticipating the housing market collapse. "At this point in my career, I want to have more control over my destiny," Eisman told the Journal, adding he has not decided on a structure for a potential new firm and plans to continue managing investments for FrontPoint, as well as for other investors. FrontPoint is a unit of Morgan Stanley (MS.N) and Eisman's move would complicate efforts by the bank to spin off the business, the paper said.
