Wi-LAN Inc (WIN.TO) said Realtek Semiconductor Corp (2379.TW) will sign a multi-year deal with the patent licensing firm for an undisclosed amount. The companies signed a memorandum of understanding and a definitive agreement will be signed in the next few week, Wi-LAN said in a statement. Wi-LAN, which settled patent disputes with chipmakers Broadcom Corp (BRCM.O) and Intel Corp (INTC.O) recently, said Realtek has not been involved in any litigation with it.
