Metals producer 5N Plus Inc said it will acquire Belgium-based private company, MCP Group SA, for C$141.8 million to expand and set up a worldwide manufacturing and distribution platform. Montreal-based 5N Plus, a major supplier of cadmium telluride (CdTe) used in making thin-film solar panels, said the deal also includes a promissory note of C$82.9 million and about 11.4 million common shares of 5N Plus to be issued to vendors. The deal is expected to immediately add to 5N Plus' earnings and free cash flow per share, 5N Plus said in a statement.
