Germany - No intervention after U.S. picks Boeing, (NYSE: BA), (EAD)

The German government said on Friday it does not see any need to intervene against the U.S. decision to award a multi-billion dollar contract for refuelling planes to Boing (BA.N) rather than EADS (EAD.PA). "There is no need to act," for Chancellor Angela Merkel, a government spokesman said. Earlier, Deputy Economy Minister Peter Hintze had questioned whether the U.S. decision had been fair.
