Sinopec, Australia Pacific in 20-yr LNG deal, (ORG)

China's Sinopec has signed a preliminary deal for 20 years of liquefied natural gas supplies with Australia Pacific LNG Pty Ltd and will get a 15 percent share in the Australian coal seam gas project, the companies said on Friday. The Chinese firm, parent of Sinopec Corp (0386.HK), has agreed to buy 4.3 million tonnes of LNG per year starting 2015 from the project jointly owned by U.S. energy firm ConocoPhillips COP.AX and Australia's Origin Energy (ORG.AX). Sinopec will supply the Austrlian gas to a planned receiving terminal in the southern coastal city of Beihai, which in January won initial government approval from the National Energy Administration, an industry source with direct knowledge of the project said.
