Shares in Germany's Aixtron (AIXGn.DE) rose 4.2 percent to the top of the TecDax .TECDAX as traders cited market talk US LED maker Cree (CREE.O) may make a 36 euro per share offer for the company. "Chatter going round that Cree might make a bid for (the) company at 36 euros (per share) one Frankfurt based trader said. Two other traders pointed to the same rumour as the reason for the share jump. Aixtron declined to comment, while Cree wasn't immediately available to comment.
