Nomura in talks to sell Skylark to Bain-sources

Nomura Holdings Inc is in talks with U.S. private-equity firm Bain Capital LLC to sell Japanese restaurant chain Skylark Co for 280 billion yen($3.4 billion) including debt, sources told Reuters on Friday, as activity heats up in Japan's slow and difficult buyout market. If the deal goes through at that price it would be one of the largest private-equity buyouts of a Japanese company in recent memory. Bain is seeking a leveraged buyout of Nomura 's stake in Skylark, according to the Nikkei newspaper, which was first to report the news.
