Transocean Ltd (RIGN.VX) (RIG.N) , the world's largest offshore drilling contractor, has sold its second shallow-water rig in less than two months. The company said in its fleet status report released on Wednesday that the Transocean Mercury was sold this month but did not give details. A spokesman declined to comment further. The Mercury, built in a Scottish shipyard in 1969 and refurbished in 1998, has been out of work since January 2010, having previously earned $110,000 per day off Egypt's coast.
