UBS AG (UBSN.VX) has further bolstered its San Francisco technology investment banking group with the hiring of a former JPMorgan Chase & Co (JPM.N) banker, according to a memo obtained by Reuters. Riyad Shahjahan, will take on the role as a managing Director in M&A at the Swiss-bank, focusing on technology clients. Shahjahan will report to Cary Kochman, the firm's Americas Head of M&A. In July, UBS hired JPMorgan's Mark Zanoli as head of technology investment banking for the Aericas.
