Nasdaq CEO Greifeld's compensation fell 59 pct, (NASDAQ: NDAQ), (NYSE: ICE), (NYSE: NYX)

Nasdaq OMX Group Inc (NDAQ.O) Chief Executive Bob Greifeld's total compensation fell 59 percent to $5.8 million last year, according to a regulatory filing on Friday. Greifeld, who has partnered with IntercontinentalExchange Inc (ICE.N) to bid for rival NYSE Euronext (NYX.N), got a salary of $1 million, down slightly from $1.04 million in 2009, according to the 2010 summary compensation table in a U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission filing. NYSE Euronext already has a deal to merge with Deutsche Boerse (DB1Gn.DE), which Nasdaq and ICE are trying to upend. The bulk of the difference in Greifeld's compensation comes from a $6.7 million options award he got in 2009. He did not get such an award last year.
