RPT-Swedish debt office says Antonov can own Saab stake, (SPYKR)

Sweden's Debt Office gave the green light on Thursday for Russian financier Vladimir Antonov to become a shareholder of struggling carmaker Saab, owned by Dutch Spyker (SPYKR.AS). The debt office said in a statement it had found no reason to oppose of Antonov becoming a shareholder in Saab in its official review of his suitability as an owner. Production has been stopped at Saab in Sweden since early April because the company cannot pay some suppliers and management has been pushing for Antonov to be allowed to buy into the firm and help it with its strained finances. The debt office said Antonov had applied to invest a maximum of 30 million euros in Saab in exchange for a stake of up to 29.9 percent.
