Buffett says he's held back on good Microsoft deal, (NASDAQ: MSFT)

Microsoft Corp (MSFT.O) is a value play at current levels but Berkshire Hathaway (BRKa.N) considers itself restricted from buying the stock due to close ties with founder Bill Gates, Berkshire Chief Executive Warren Buffett said on Saturday. In an interview with Reuters Insider on Saturday, Buffett also said Standard & Poor's was premature in its recent market-shaking move to put U.S. government debt on a negative credit watch.

Microsoft Corporation is engaged in developing, manufacturing, licensing and supporting a range of software products and services for different types of computing devices. Shares of MSFT fell by 2.96% or $-0.79/share to $25.92. In the past year, the shares have traded as low as $22.73 and as high as $31.08. On average, 60383400 shares of MSFT exchange hands on a given day and today's volume is recorded at 319317856.
