Norwegian telecom Telenor (TEL.OL) said a "new scenario" would start if fellow Vimpelcom investor, Russia's Alfa Group, nullified a pact the two groups had in the running of the Russian mobile operator. Altimo, the telephony-arm of Alfa Group, said on Monday that it had sold enough shares in Vimpelcom to trigger a termination of the shareholders' agreement with Telenor. "It would open up a whole new scenario," Telenor spokesman Dag Melgaard said, when asked about the report. "We are still not ready to comment on what that implies on our part."
