UBS hires power banker from Evercore, (UBSN), (NYSE: EVR)

UBS AG (UBSN.VX) has hired power and utilities investment banker Keith Lord from Evercore Partners (EVR.N), the Swiss bank said on Tuesday. Lord, who was most recently a senior adviser in Evercore's global power group, will be based in New York and report to Jim Schaefer. He began his investment banking career in 1992 at Salomon Brothers and also worked at Wasserstein Perella & Co and at Lehman Brothers. Despite scores of bankers leaving over the past few years, UBS has also made a dozen key hires, including most recently Tom Langford as global head of energy investment banking and Adam Frisch as co-head of the IT services banking business.

Evercore Partners Inc. (Evercore), incorporated on July 20, 2005, is an independent investment banking advisory firms in the world based on the dollar volume of announced worldwide merger and acquisition (M&A). Shares of EVR traded higher by 0.96% or $0.33/share to $34.53. In the past year, the shares have traded as low as $21.02 and as high as $37.26. On average, 133333 shares of EVR exchange hands on a given day and today's volume is recorded at 15277.
