Peltz fund no longer owns PepsiCo shares-CNBC, (NYSE: PEP)

Activist investor Nelson Peltz's Trian Fund no longer owns shares in PepsiCo Inc , cable television network CNBC reported on Thursday. Earlier this week, Trian Fund Management LP disclosed in a regulatory filing that it held 2.36 million shares in the soft drink and snack company as of Sept. 30.PepsiCo shares were down 1.8 percent to $63.90 in morning trading.A spokeswoman for Trian Fund did not immediately return a call seeking comment.CNBC reported on its Twitter feed that Peltz only owned the shares "for a trade" without saying where it got that information. There was no new filing with the U.S. Securities Exchange Commission to reflect any change in Trian's stake in PepsiCo.

PepsiCo, Inc. is a global food, snack and beverage company. Shares of PEP fell by 1.84% or $-1.2/share to $63.89. In the past year, the shares have traded as low as $59.25 and as high as $71.89. On average, 9700410 shares of PEP exchange hands on a given day and today's volume is recorded at 3725024.
