DISH offers to purchase Clearwire for $3.30 per share, (NASDAQ: DISH), (NYSE: S)

Dish Network has made a bid to purchase some of Clearwire Corp's spectrum and would offer $3.30 a share to acquire of Clearwire's stock, Clearwire said on Tuesday.Clearwire said the proposal, which trumps a bid by majority shareholder Sprint Nextel Corp, was unsolicited and non-binding and that it was only a preliminary indication of interest and subject to a number of uncertainties and conditions.One condition would be approval by Sprint. The wireless carrier owns around 50 percent of Clearwire and has made a bid to buy the stake it does not currently own for $2.97 share or $2.2 billion.Clearwire's board of directors has not made any change to its recommendation of the current Sprint transaction, Clearwire said.

DISH Network Corporation is a pay-television (TV) provider, with approximately 13. Shares of DISH fell by 1.02% or $-0.37/share to $35.97.
