Cooperman's Omega sells Apple; buys Facebook, Sandridge - filing, (NASDAQ: AAPL), (NASDAQ: FB), (NYSE: SD)

Leon Cooperman, Chief Executive Officer of hedge fund Omega Advisors, sold his stake in Apple Inc and took new stakes in SandRidge Energy Inc and Facebook Inc in the fourth quarter, a regulatory filing showed on Wednesday. Cooperman, whose hedge fund had $7 billion in assets as of last November, sold his entire stake of 266,404 shares in tech giant Apple, the Securities and Exchange Commission filing showed.

(Apple) designs, manufactures and markets mobile communication and media devices, personal computers, and portable digital music players, and a variety of related software, services, peripherals, networking solutions, and third-party digital content and applications. Shares of AAPL traded higher by 0.08% or $0.39/share to $468.29. In the past year, the shares have traded as low as $435.00 and as high as $705.07. On average, 21700500 shares of AAPL exchange hands on a given day and today's volume is recorded at 12449634.

Facebook, Inc. (Facebook) is engaged in building products to create utility for users, developers, and advertisers. Shares of FB traded higher by 2.81% or $0.77/share to $28.14. In the past year, the shares have traded as low as $17.55 and as high as $45.00. On average, 73363696 shares of FB exchange hands on a given day and today's volume is recorded at 35448396.
