Group of China Internet firms say to sue Baidu over copyright violations, (NASDAQ: BIDU), (NASDAQ: SOHU)

A group including Chinese Internet firms Tencent Holdings and Sohu.Com Inc as well as a top U.S. film industry body said on Wednesday it is seeking 300 million yuan ($49.2 million) in damages from China's Baidu Inc and others for copyright violation. The group, which also includes Youku Tudou Inc, Dalian Wanda Group and the Motion Picture Association of America, said in a statement that Baidu and others had been using an automated process to obtain content from the other companies.Baidu was not immediately available for comment.

Baidu, Inc. (Baidu) is a Chinese-language Internet search provider. Shares of BIDU fell by 0.77% or $-1.17/share to $150.43. In the past year, the shares have traded as low as $82.98 and as high as $169.75. On average, 3708160 shares of BIDU exchange hands on a given day and today's volume is recorded at 1964997.

Sohu.com Inc. (Sohu) is a Chinese online media, search, gaming, community and mobile service group. Shares of SOHU fell by 1.23% or $-0.79/share to $63.42. In the past year, the shares have traded as low as $34.84 and as high as $87.29. On average, 1604150 shares of SOHU exchange hands on a given day and today's volume is recorded at 1209289.
