Southwest wins 54 slots at Reagan National Airport, (NASDAQ: AAL)

Southwest Airlines said on Thursday it won 54 slots at Reagan National Airport near Washington, D.C. that American Airlines Group is required to divest under an agreement with the U.S. government. Southwest said the 54 slots would enable it to add 27 departures from the popular airport.

Anglo American plc (Anglo American) is a mining company. Shares of AAL traded higher by 3.38% or $1.115/share to $34.10. In the past year, the shares have traded as low as $12.70 and as high as $33.40. On average, 13790600 shares of AAL exchange hands on a given day and today's volume is recorded at 7966631.
