Deals of the day- Mergers and acquisitions, (NYSE: MS)

The following bids, mergers, acquisitions and disposals were reported by 2100 GMT on Wednesday:** Morgan Stanley is weighing the sale of its private bank in Switzerland, which manages roughly 10 billion Swiss francs ($11.28 billion) in assets, a source close to the matter told Reuters. The U.S. bank is looking at several options, one of which is an outright sale, the person said.

Morgan Stanley is a global financial services company that, through its subsidiaries and affiliates, provides its products and services to a range of clients and customers, including corporations, governments, financial institutions and individuals. Shares of MS traded higher by 2.8% or $0.87/share to $31.97. In the past year, the shares have traded as low as $20.16 and as high as $33.52. On average, 12935600 shares of MS exchange hands on a given day and today's volume is recorded at 14653953.
