Fortis CEO Stanley Marshall to retire this year, (TSE: FTS.TO)

Fortis Inc said on Monday that President and Chief Executive Officer Stanley Marshall planned to retire from the Canadian utility company at the end of this year after heading it for more than 18 years. Marshall, who is also stepping down from Fortis' board, will be replaced by Barry Perry, the gas and electricity distribution utility's chief financial officer.

Fortis Inc. (Fortis) is an investor-owned gas and electric distribution utility in Canada. Shares of FTS traded higher by 0.49% or $0.16/share to $32.54. In the past year, the shares have traded as low as $29.51 and as high as $34.67. On average, 530500 shares of FTS.TO exchange hands on a given day and today's volume is recorded at 1057241.
