The following are mergers under review by the European Commission and a brief guide to the EU merger process: APPROVALS AND WITHDRAWALS-- U.S. car seat and electrical power systems maker Lear Corp to acquire car leather producer Eagle Ottawa LLC from private investment firm Everett Smith Group Ltd (approved Nov. 24)-- French insurer CNP Assurances S.A. to acquire 51 percent of Santander Insurance Life Ltd, Santander Insurance Europe Ltd and Santander Insurance Services Ireland Ltd from Spanish bank Santander's (approved Nov. 24)

Lear Corporation is a tier 1 supplier to the global automotive industry. Shares of LEA fell by 0.51% or $-0.49/share to $95.13. In the past year, the shares have traded as low as $71.57 and as high as $103.74. On average, 904683 shares of LEA exchange hands on a given day and today's volume is recorded at 226561.
