MOVES-Nomura's Europe chief Bennett resigns -FT, (NYSE: CS), (NYSE: NMR)

Jeremy Bennett, chief executive of the European unit of Japanese financial services company Nomura Holdings Inc, has resigned after 18 months in office, the Financial Times reported, citing a person familiar with the matter. Differences of opinion over strategy was one of the main reasons for the departure, the newspaper said, citing sources. (on.ft.com/1BKLIsy)Yasuo Kashiwagi, the co-chief executive, will take over as acting chief executive until a full-time replacement for Bennett has been found, the financial times said.Bennett, who previously worked for Credit Suisse Group AG , left Nomura to look out for opportunities in the charitable sector and emerging markets, the newspaper said.Nomura could not be reached for immediate comments outside regular business hours.

Credit Suisse Group AG is a Switzerland-based holding company engaged in private banking, investment banking and asset management areas. Shares of CS traded higher by 0.5% or $0.13/share to $26.35. In the past year, the shares have traded as low as $24.82 and as high as $33.25. On average, 1186820 shares of CS exchange hands on a given day and today's volume is recorded at 841370.

Nomura Holdings, Inc. is engaged in the investment and financial services business with a focus on securities business. Shares of NMR traded higher by 0.16% or $0.01/share to $6.13. In the past year, the shares have traded as low as $5.33 and as high as $8.21. On average, 401032 shares of NMR exchange hands on a given day and today's volume is recorded at 891062.
