BHP Billiton offers US$39 Billion for Potash Corp.

Potash was insulted with such a small offer and refused it immediately the same morning the offer was made public. That same day, Potash's shares were sent skyrocketing up almost 30% to 145$+/share. Wall Street analysts are now calling for a raised bid of US$47 Billion or US$160/share. If BHP doesn't step up their offer soon, some chinese players may come in and sweep up the company. Andy Raw Kibbens, Co-CEO of 'The Markets Are Open' said "The chinese demand for potash is ever increasing and what better to fulfill that need by acquiring one of the biggest potash producers on the planet". That being said, look for Potash Corp (symbol POT) to receive analyst upgrades and a higher share price along with it.
