IBM Hungry for more Data

Shares of Brocade Communications are up almost 10% Wednesday afternoon on speculation that IBM may be making a bid to buy the company. Brocade specialized in data center networking equipment. IBM has recently put a bid in for Netezza, also in the data business. The company is swimming in cash. Brocade has experienced takeover rumours in the past, none of which played out.
