Encana to sell certain Colorado assets for $303 mln, (TSE: ECA), (NYSE: WES), (NYSE: APC)

The U.S. unit of Encana Corp (ECA.TO), North America's second-largest natural gas producer, said it will sell its natural gas processing plant and certain other assets in Colorado to Western Gas Partners LP (WES.N) for about $303 million. The deal includes Encana's Fort Lupton plant in Colorado, which processes about 84 million cubic feet of natural gas per day, and five natural gas gathering pipeline systems and associated compression facilities. Western Gas, which is a limited partnership formed by Anadarko Petroleum Corp (APC.N) to acquire and develop midstream energy assets, expects the deal to add to its distributable cash flow per unit starting immediately. The deal is expected to close in the first quarter of this year.
