Comerica Inc (CMA.N) agreed to buy Sterling Bancshares Inc (SBIB.O) in an all-stock deal valued at about $1.01 billion. The deal values each Sterling share at about $9.94 based on Comerica's Friday close -- a premium of about 29 percent to Sterling stock's close on Friday. As part of the deal, each Sterling common share will get 0.2365 common share of Comerica.
