Brazil's PanAmericano losses widen 65 pct-reports

Banco PanAmericano's main shareholders pledged to inject 14 billion reais ($8.4 billion) into the troubled lender after losses related to accounting fraud were 65 percent bigger than initially estimated, newspaper reports said on Thursday. Total losses rose to 4.3 billion reais from the 2.5 billion reais previously estimated by regulators, O Estado de S.Paulo and Folha de S.Paulo reported. A one-time 500 million reais charge was discovered after securities firm BTG Pactual [BTG.UL] took over PanAmericano (BPNM4.SA) earlier this week, Estado said.
