FACTBOX-A D.Boerse-NYSE deal would be latest tie-up, (LSE), (TSE: X), (NYSE: NYX), (SGXL), (ASX)

Hours after London Stock Exchange (LSE.L) announced its bid for Toronto Stock Exchange parent TMX (X.TO), Deutsche Boerse (DB1Gn.DE) and NYSE Euronext (NYX.N) said on Wednesday they were in advanced merger talks. The flurry of transatlantic buyout talk -- coupled with Singapore Exchange's (SGXL.SI) planned acquisition of Australia's ASX Ltd (ASX.AX), announced last year -- signals a second wave of consolidation after a burst of activity in 2006 and 2007.
