SNC-Lavalin Group Inc (SNC.TO) said on Friday it will spend C$213 million ($215 million) to buy the 23.1 percent of an Alberta electricity transmission business that it does not already own, prompting one analyst to boost her SNC-Lavalin stock-price target. SNC-Lavalin, Canada's biggest engineering and construction company bought the stake in AltaLink from Macquarie Essential Assets Partnership. AltaLink is a premium asset with stable cash flows and big growth opportunities, said NCP Northland Capital Partners analyst Maxim Sytchev.
