West Australian Newspapers plans to make an announcement on a proposal for a major transaction on Monday, it said after a newspaper reported it was going to buy TV broadcaster Seven Network in a deal worth A$3.5 billion ($3.5 billion). Seven Network is owned by private equity firm Kohlberg Kravis Roberts and Kerry Stokes' Seven Group . It said it had lodged an announcement with the Australian Securities Exchange.
