Mexico's America Movil (AMXL.MX) said on Friday it agreed to buy Jamaica-based Digicel Group's [DGCGP.UL] businesses in Honduras and El Salvador. America Movil, owned by the world's richest man, Carlos Slim, said that as part of the agreement it is selling its Jamaican business to Digicel. America Movil did not disclose the size of the deal. The companies expect the deal to close in the second quarter, pending regulatory approval, the statement said. America Movil is one of the world's biggest telecommunications companies with 225 million wireless customers across Latin America and the United States.
