A joint venture of Japanese trading house Sumitomo Corp and Sumitomo Mitsui Financial will effectively take control of Hitachi Ltd's auto-leasing business, the Nikkei daily reported on Tuesday. Sumitomo Mitsui Auto Service plans to buy 49 percent of Hitachi Capital Auto Lease, a unit of Hitachi Capital Corp , Nikkei said. Hitachi Capital will in turn get a 15-20 percent stake in Sumitomo Mitsui Auto Services, the daily said.
