The former head of Americas Mergers and Acquisitions at UBS AG (UBS.N), Cary Kochman has been promoted to Global co-head of M&A, according to a memo received by Reuters on Monday. He will join Liam Beere, who is based in London, as global co-head of M&A. A former Credit Suisse executive, Kochman has spent 22 years focused on the M&A business. He joined the Swiss bank in 2004 as co-head of Americas M&A and had been head of Americas M&A since 2010. Beere joined UBS in London in 1992 and had been responsible for the development of the firm's German franchise, before joining the European M&A team. Beere has been head of EMEA M&A since 2008.
