Oil and natural gas firm Vanguard Natural Resources has offered to buy the rest of Encore Energy Partners LP it does not already own, in a deal that values Encore at about $1.05 billion. Encore Energy's estimated proved reserves as of Sept. 30 last year was about 43.4 million barrels of oil equivalent, comprising 67 percent crude oil and natural gas liquids. Under the terms of the deal, each Encore Energy unit will be entitled to 0.72 Vanguard unit, or $23.20 a unit. That is just above $23.15, price at which the Encore Energy stock closed on Thursday.
