Parametric Technology Corp said it plans to buy Canada's MKS Inc for C$292.5 million ($304.56 million)in cash to bolster its software product offerings. Parametric is seeing strong demand from the product lifecycle management market as manufacturing companies revamp their operations for the next business cycle. "MKS is very complementary to PTC (Paramteric). There is little overlap between what MKS does and what PTC does, so this is all about growth," Parametric's Chief Executive James Heppelmann said on a conference call with analysts.
