Tokyo Electric Power Co , the operator of the quake-hit Fukushima Daiichi nuclear power plant, will not be nationalised, Japanese Trade Minister Banri Kaieda was quoted by Jiji news agency as saying on Friday. TEPCO will pay 50 billion yen ($599 million) in provisional compensation to residents near the nuclear plant who have evacuated since the nuclear power plant's cooling systems were knocked out by the March 11 quake and tsunami, Kaieda was also quoted as saying.
